Ash Scattering at Sea, Port Phillip Bay & Bass Strait
A private and respectful farewell aboard our 41ft vessel, offering a peaceful setting to honour your loved one.
We contacted a few different companies before booking and really appreciated how straightforward everything was with Sorrento Fishing Charter. The price was clearly listed for the whole boat and we knew exactly what we were paying from the start. With some of the other places we contacted it was quite hard to get a clear price.
The day itself was handled beautifully. Everything was ready when we arrived, the flowers were a lovely touch and we never felt rushed. They gave us plenty of space and privacy to say goodbye as a family.A difficult day, but a really peaceful way to do it...... Thank you.
We couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful way to scatter our loved one’s ashes.........
Everything was handled with so much care and the little touches really made a difference. The flowers were beautiful, the boat was absolutely spotless, and afterwards we were given a card with the exact GPS coordinates of where the ashes were scattered, which was incredibly special and something we’ll keep.... The whole experience felt private, peaceful and very respectful without being overly formal.
We also really appreciated that it was a fixed price for the boat, regardless of how many family members came along. It made organising everything much simpler as we didn’t have to worry about a price per person or confirming exact numbers. A beautiful and very thoughtful service during such a difficult time. Would absolutely recommend!!!!
We recently chose Sorrento Fishing Charters for an ash scattering ceremony in Port Phillip Bay, and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful, respectful experience.
From the moment we arrived, everything had been thoughtfully prepared. The fresh flowers and elegant setup made the ceremony feel incredibly special and gave our loved one the peaceful farewell they deserved.
The crew were compassionate, professional, and gave us all the time and privacy we needed to say a few words, reflect together, and scatter the ashes in a calm and beautiful setting. Nothing felt rushed, and every detail was handled with genuine care.
If you're looking for an ash scattering service near Melbourne, Port Phillip Bay, or the Mornington Peninsula, I can't recommend Sorrento Fishing Charters highly enough. Their kindness, professionalism, and attention to detail made an incredibly difficult day feel peaceful, meaningful, and unforgettable.
The team at Sorrento fishing charters went above and beyond to ensure a wonderful farewell for our mum. The boat was spotlessly clean, a place set up with a tablecloth and container with sea sand to hold the urn and a speaker to play some music.
The team were caring and respectful, gave us privacy when necessary. A wonderful gesture were the cards with the coordinates of where we laid mum to rest . Highly recommend this crew.
Our farewell at sea was handled with incredible care, professionalism, and respect. From the moment we stepped onboard, everything felt calm, private, and thoughtfully organised. The crew created a peaceful atmosphere and gave us the space we needed, while quietly taking care of every detail.
Being able to say goodbye out on the water was deeply meaningful, and the experience was both comforting and beautiful. We couldn’t have asked for a more dignified way to farewell our loved one. Truly grateful for such a considerate and compassionate service, thank you Marine & Jules
